Mr. Ahmed has been with the Company since 1972 and holds senior positions in a number of entities within the BEXIMCO Group of companies. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Science from the University of Dhaka in 1966. Mr. Ahmed is currently a member of the Executive Committee of Shippers Council of Bangladesh. Previously he was the publisher of "The Independent" an English daily newspaper in Bangladesh and the "Muktakantha", a Bengali national daily newspaper.

Mr. Rahman holds senior positions at a number of entities within the BEXIMCO Group of companies. He has been with BEXIMCO Group since 1972.

The Executive Committee is headed by Mr. Osman Kaiser Chowdhury. Mr. Chowdhury has been with the Company since 1980 and holds senior positions within the BEXIMCO group of companies. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh. He has over 13 years' experience working abroad, including the United Kingdom.

Mr. Syed Naved Husain has been the Advisor to the Chairman as well as the Vice Chairman of Beximco Group. Earlier to his appointment as an Advisor, he had been the CEO and Group Director of BEXIMCO for the last 25 years being at the helm of South Asia’s largest and best-known vertical textile operation, which he helped set up and managed. He grew to fame in the world of fashion apparel retail, by successfully focusing BEXIMCO’s massive operations on flexible manufacturing, speed to market, and innovation. This resulted in the rapid establishment of significant partnerships with many of the worlds leading retailers like Zara, J.C.Penney, Philip-Van Heusen, Calvin Klein, H & M, River Island, Top Shop etc. Earlier he was CEO of Falcon Fabrics (1989-1994) a textile company producing corduroy and fancy denim fabrics in Pakistan which was set up and owned by him. He was also at that time appointed as Trade Commissioner of Yugoslavia in Pakistan for a short period.

Mr. Husain holds 47 years of vast and highly successful experience in various fields along with Textiles out of which more than 25 years he spent with BEXIMCO. He spent 10 years (1978-1988) in the international Oil Industry working as a project manager, for 7 years in Abu Dhabi for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company(ADNOC). He was responsible for the successful execution of several major oil and gas projects. He earlier worked for ENAR Petrotech Services Ltd., a “think tank” owned by Pakistan’s State Petroleum Refining Cooperation, and also established Zishan Engineers which is a leading oil and gas consultancy company in Pakistan and that also has ongoing projects in other countries such as Nigeria.

He spent 8 years living in the United States and working in Silicon Valley as an Application Engineer and later Technical Manager for Fairchild Semiconductors, the leading producer of chips at that time. Intel was later started by a group of engineers from Fairchild Semiconductors. He became a well-known expert in the field of component testing and serviced major multinational clients such as ITT, IBM, Xerox, and CDC.

Mr. Syed Naved Husain was born in Karachi in October 1949 and graduated with honors receiving a BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, USA. He was awarded a scholarship for outstanding foreign students and a teaching assistantship. He went on to receive his MBA degree from Northrop University in California. (Owned by Northrop Aircraft Corporation). He is married and has two sons and a daughter.

16 Years Banking Experience Internationally in Europe, North America, Middle East and the Carribeans -- 12 Years in management position including Manager of Branch located on Park Lane London W2 U.K., Regional Manager Central Credit Division, Country Head Grand Cayman, Isle of Man, Gibraltar as well as Head of Marketing and subsequently Head of Inspection. Also served as Head of High Networth Individuals Portfolio as well as Head of Real Estate Portfolio.

Mr. Kabir was the Managing Director of AMK STEELS Ltd. (Now PHP Ispat Ltd) and Director of Capital Paper & Pulp Industries Ltd. His responsibilities in these two projects entailed supervision of Erection, Procurement and Commissioning of the Plants and subsequently operating the Industries on a daily basis.

On the recommendation of the Asian Development Bank, China World Best Group Ltd which was one of the largest conglomerate in China involved in Manufacturing & EPC Contracting (Now China Resource Group), engaged Mr. Kabir as the Chief Negotiator for Overseas Business subsequently made him the Regional Representative for South Asia and later appointed him as Director of Hong Kong KRD International Investment Group Co. Ltd.

Mr. Ajmal Kabir has vast experience in the field of Project Management, Negotiations, Marketing and Promotional Consultancy. He has been primarily responsible as Consultant for the following projects: - Contract - 1 Jamuna Multipurpose Bridge Project with South Korean & Japanese Companies (WB, ADB, OECF, & Govt. of Bangladesh funded). Mr. Kabir was also the only Non-Korean member of the 3 Member Purchase Committee for all procurements made by the Contractor for this mega project.

He is an active member of the sporting community and was the Founder first Vice-President of the largest professional Sports Club in Bangladesh namely ABAHANI KRIRA CHAKRA which was jointly founded by him in 1972.

Mr. Mohammed Humayun Kabir FCA completed B. Com (Hon's) and M.Com in Accounting from the University of Dhaka. He studied Chartered Accountancy, became ACA in 1984 and FCA in 1989. He also studied on International Capital Market at St. Catherine’s College, Oxford, UK for a short period. Mr. Kabir has been recognized thrice as a CIP (Export) in 2007, 2011 and 2012 and awarded Jatiyo Paribesh Padak in 2010 by the Government of Bangladesh.

Mr. Kabir worked for a professional (CA) Firm from Feb 1981 to Jan 1985 and a Financial Institution from Feb 1985 to June 1988. He joined Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd in June 1988. Later he worked closely with Chairman and Vice Chairman of the BEXIMCO group in executing strategic investment decisions in Textiles & other core areas of business of the group. Mr. Kabir, CEO of the business units under BEXIMCO jute division (since June 2001), has also been entrusted to look after Shinepukur Ceramics Ltd as its CEO in May 2014. He is involved with the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FBCCI) as a Convener/Co-Chairman of its different standing and non-standing Committees. He is also involved with National Board of Revenue - NBR as a Facilitator of Alternate Dispute Resolution - ADR since Jan 2013. Since 2001, he has been elected as a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Bangladesh (ICAB) for consecutive six times (2001-2018). He is a member of Management Committee (2014-2016) of Bangladesh Employers’ Federation (BEF) and a Board Member (2015-17) of Bangladesh Jute Spinners Association (BJSA). Mr. Kabir was elected Director of Shippers Council of Bangladesh (2009-11) and Vice-Chairman of Bangladesh Jute Goods Association (2007-09). He also sat in the Board of Directors of Shadharan Bima Corporation (2008-2013), Bangladesh Telecommunication Company Ltd (2008) and West Zone Power Distribution Company Ltd (2005-06) and Dhaka Stock Exchange Ltd (2008). He was vice president in 2002 & President in 2008 of ICAB.

Mr. Kabir is a regular Participant in TV Talk Shows on National Economic issues specially relating to capital market and fiscal matters and issues relating to trade and investment. He delivered lectures, presented papers and chaired seminars in home and abroad on topics relating to business & accountancy profession. He has been nominated by the Government in its different Committees for reviewing corporate/Taxation Laws, for evaluating proposals for Investment/EOI/Consultant hiring/ Procurement bids.

Mr. Shah A Sarwar joined IFIC Bank Limited as Managing Director on 02 December 2012.

Over the last 34 years in banking, Mr. Sarwar’s career evolved as a well rounded banker with adequate exposure in General Management, Client Coverage, Corporate Banking, Risk Management, Operations and IT Management. He started his career as Management Trainee of ANZ Grindlays Bank in 1982.

He sits on the Board of Grameen Bank and previously held various senior management positions in multinational and private commercial banks such as Managing Director & CEO of Trust Bank Limited, Premier Bank Limited and Industrial Promotion & Development Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (IPDC), Additional Managing Director of United Commercial Bank Ltd (UCBL), Senior Director and COO of American Express Bank Ltd, Head of Special Asset Management in Standard Chartered Bank and Country Credit Manager in ANZ Grindlays Bank.

He has core expertise in Strategic Management, Business Process Reengineering, Creation of New Lines of Business, Change Management and Automation Project Management. He led the first banking automation project in Bangladesh for ANZ Gindlays Bank in 1984. He has optimum exposure & training in all areas of Banking with international stints in Australia, London, Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and certified in Credit Accreditation Process, International Trade Skill Assessment, Credit Skill Assessment and Credit in Context Course.

With a distinctive academic record, he holds an M.S.S. degree with Honors in Economics from the University of Dhaka and MBA from Victoria University, Australia. He attended management courses at University of Columbia, University of Cambridge, Oxford University and INSEAD, France.

He is a gold medal recipient as the best all-round cadet of Faujdarhat Cadet Collage and a National Debate Champion.

He is a member of the Board of Trustee of World Literature Centre (BishowShahittoKendro), Dhaka. Mr. Sarwar takes keen interest in Paintings, Classical Music, Literature and the game of Golf.

Mr. Sarwar is married to former development banker Mrs. ParveenSarwar. His elder daughter is a Yale University graduate and the younger daughter is studying at Wellesley College, Boston, USA.

Mr. Sami Wadood is a Group Director of BEXIMCO.

He plays an advisory role in setting technological strategic directions for the group and in undertaking new initiatives and projects aligned with the group’s overall vision. Over the period of his 25 year long journey with BEXIMCO, he has worked closely with both the 1st and 2nd generation leadership. He also had the opportunity to work in Beximco Pharmaceuticals and Beximco Textiles, the largest two business units of the group. He has an impressive track record of successfully launching many of group’s ventures starting with establishing the Bangladesh’s largest ISP in 1998, setting up the group’s 24-hour news TV channel in 2011, setting up and running the International long distance wholesale voice carrier operation in 2014, working closely with Russian JV partners to launch Bangladesh’s first DTH service in 2016, then the subsequent buyout of equity of the Russian company. He established the group’s overseas operations in Dubai and Singapore.

He completed his Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Assumption University, Bangkok.

Mr. Mrinal Roy is a 1972 Engineering graduate from National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, India and an Alumni of IIM, Ahmedabad, India. He has joined Beximco LPG in September, 2016 as the Chief Advisor of the company and on the 14th of December, 2017 he took over charges as the Chief Executive Officer of Beximco LPG.

Before becoming a member of the BEXIMCO Group, he has worked in various projects and companies in India. He was the Executive Director of Indian Oil Corporation and on his superannuation from the company in April 2011, Mr. Roy was appointed as the CEO of Indian Oil Petronas by Petronas National Behard, Malaysia. There he has served till the end of August, 2016 until becoming a part of BEXIMCO Group.

After taking over in Beximco LPG, Mr. Mrinal Roy has set the company in roll to achieve its goals and has concentrated in materializing the dream of the Group in the Petroleum sector of Bangladesh. Along with the objective and way forward of establishing the Company’s Brand in the LPG sector in Bangladesh, the internal structuring and establishing policies for the efficient performance of the Organization has been put in place by him. His widespread and long experience in the field of LPG and his ability in grasping the market has helped in achieving the smooth launch of the company and establishing the unique product of Beximco LPG in the mass market of Bangladesh.

Mr. M Shamsur Rahman is the “Editor” of The Independent and the “Editor in Chief & Chief Executive Officer” of Independent Television Ltd.

After completing his graduation he pursued his career as “Business Reporter” at The Daily Star, leading English daily of Bangladesh. His unique qualities and attributes helped him to grow as a journalist. Eventually he was promoted to “Business Editor” at The Daily Star.

He has over 21 years of experience as a successful journalist and as an entrepreneur.

Mr. Mohammad Asad Ullah, FCS has been serving as Executive Director-Corporate Affairs and Group Company Secretary of all the Companies of BEXIMCO Group since 1998. Since his joining in 1991 in the Corporate Headquarters of BEXIMCO Group, Asad Ullah had been worked as Deputy Group Company Secretary. Before joining in Corporate Headquarters, he worked in Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. in various responsible positions since 3 July 1985.
